“Pearls of Wisdom”

Clean You Teeth

Our little pearls of wisdom are tips for parents about children’s dental health. New “pearls” will be posted from time to time.

Question: When should a child first see a dentist?

Answer: A child’s first dental visit should be timed within 6 months of the appearance of the first tooth, but no later than one year of age. Guidance will be given to parents on dental development, teething, brushing, flossing, fluoride status, thumb/finger/pacifier sucking habits, injury & trauma preventions, and most importantly dietary control.
